FINAL DAY OF CLASS...

This week actually has been very busy with Art. I had the video art to do the take home test and study for all my other finals. This entire semester has been very stressful i'm looking forward to a nice three month break (sort of). I'll be taking summer class the first half but after that i'm free as a bird i can't wait for that. I'm going to NYC for a few days which will be areally fun. I hope everyone has a good summer and i had fun with everyone in class

MUSIC VIDEOS...

So i'm still a little confused. There really is a fine line between what is art and what isn't art. Everyone's opinion of art is different. With that said it's hard to tell sometimes if a music video is in fact art or just a commercial piece of work. There are times i thought the work we saw in class wasn' t really art and other times when i thought work i've seen was more like art. I guess art is really in the eyes of the viewer

Wow I'm really bad at this...

So I realized today that i'm horrible at blogging... i just can't seem to remember to sign on and post and when i do remember to i never seem to have anything to write. After seeing Sarah's performance piece i downloaded basically all of the John Mayer CD... i really liked the song gravity and then i just went into a downloading frenzie.. PARTY IN THE PARK was really good; a lot better than i thought it would be. I mean i should have been home studying for my mgt test which is on tuesday but i guess that's fine I'll just be pulling an all nighter tomorrow night i guess. I was suppose to be trying to start working out more but it seems like i get bogged down with all this school work.. I'mr eally looking forward for the summer, I'm taking a few summer classes (sculpture is one of them, which i'm really exicted about) but it shouldn't be that bad... My first summer in Tampa we'll see how it goes... I'm excited to start watching more Video art. It makes me think what isn't art these days. When driving around i've noticed a lot more things that could be art that i would have never thought about before this class.

I Really REALLY enjoyed doing the performance art. I hope everyone liked it

I really liked the performance Art a lot... it was really interesting to see what people where doing. Some people were a bit extreme and did things i personally would never do (like get plastic surgery in front of everyone. I also don't beleive that piercing your body is art, i believe it is a way to express yourself however it should not be confused with art.

Xerox Project... I Call it my self portrait. i put a lot of thought into this project. i only used certain pieces of myself (feet, arms hand, face, ears, etc.) almost complete but missing a few parts (torso, neck, etc.) it to symbolize that my life isn't finished in a sense. that there is much more of it to see and accomplish. I made my eyes of of egg shells so they would be 3D. I wanted that to show that i see everything and everything sees me for who i am. i wrapped my eyes in my palm print to show the individualness of myself. i really liked how this project came out
